Vermicelli is similar in appearance to noodles but is much thinner. They are a form of rice noodles. They are often referred to as rice noodles or rice sticks. Vermicelli does not have much flavor of its own, but readily bsorbs the flavors of whatever ingredients it is cooked with.
Vermicelli may look like beehoon but its appearance is clear instead of whitish or more often known as rice noodles or rice sticks. Vermicelli is used as it would absorb the flavor from the sauce or ingredient used which provide a flavorsome and smooth silky taste.
